About Technologically Speaking
This is a blog where I can share my thoughts, ideas, reviews, and experiences with trying to learn more about how technology can help progress education and learning further.
I hope you can share with me as well.
About Jay Blackman
I’m just another edugeek trying to make teaching and learning more effective for students, teachers, and communities through technology.
I’m interested in the place where tech, teaching, and training meet.
I’m a third generation educator who wants students to have a better classroom experience than I did.
Professionally I am the Director of Technology at Brookwood School District 167 in Glenwood, Illinois. I previously spent time in the Educational Technology department at Purdue University studying problem-based learning, 1-to-1 programs, and adult learning. Sometimes you can find me hanging around ICE CHIP meetings, Twitter, and anywhere I can get a decent hot dog.
